Paris Hilton made an appearance at a Vienna mall Thursday to sign autographs, as the heiress is currently in Austria to attend the prestigious Vienna Opera Ball.

“Hello everybody, it’s so good to see you,” Paris cooed as the crowd went crazy. “Happy late Valentine’s Day!”

The party girl was pulled away by the security guards and the autograph-signing was cut short when the crowd started throwing trash at her, including cigarette packs, tissues and lipsticks.

The Austria Press Agency reported that sheets of paper that floated onto the stage were fliers from a communist youth organization.

Loving Paris Hilton later said that the incident was “no big deal” and said she loved her fans.

Taking questions from some 100 reporters earlier, PH said she “loved” classical music and that she grew up listening to it. “As a little girl, it really helped me fall asleep at night,” she said. Although she later confessed that she “really loved” old Jacko songs, Madonna and hip-hop.

Meanwhile, she also ran into a problem in Munich, Germany, on Wednesday because her passport had expired. Susan McCaw, U.S. ambassador to Austria, had to vouch for her so she could enter the country. When asked what happened, Paris replied: “Oh nothing, just my passport.”
